But the real shock comes when we see the Bangladesh Army—whose duty is to protect the nation—rushing in, not to support the faithful, but to shield the insulter of the Prophet! Worse yet, they brutally charge at the Muslims who are protesting out of love for their Prophet. As if the crime lies not in the blasphemy, but in the protest against it. As if loving the Prophet has become a punishable offense in this land!
And this is the same Bangladesh Army we are told to be proud of? The same army that holds the so-called ‘Number One’ rank in the UN peacekeeping missions? What a tragic irony! How can those who suppress the peaceful and faithful protests of the majority Muslim population be called guardians of peace? An army that beats those who rise in love for the Prophet—what kind of peace does it stand for?
We denounce this so-called ‘Number One’ ranking. We do not need ranks built on betrayal of faith—we need soldiers of faith who understand what it truly means to love the Messenger of Allah.
