«Meni Balxlik bir yigit yengganichalik hech kim yengmagan.

U oldimizga bahslashish uchun kelib, menga:

— Ey Abu Yazid, sizlar qanday zuhd-taqvo qilasizlar? - dedi.

— Topsak yeymiz, topmasak sabr qilamiz, - dedim.

— Bizda Balx itlari shunday qilishadi, - dedi u.

— Unda sizlar qanday zuhd-taqvo qilasizlar? - dedim. Shunda u:

— Topmasak shukr qilamiz, topsak oʻzimizdan muhtojroqlarga beramiz, - dedi».
