They say: “Wahābī.”
قالوا وهّابي،
What does “Wahābī” mean?
إيش معنى وهابي،
May Allah have mercy on the one who said that:
رحم الله من قال:
“If the followers of Aḥmad (ie: the Prophet ﷺ) is mutawahib,
" إن كان تابع أحمدٍ متوهبا *
then I affirm myself as a Wahābī.”
فأنا المقر بأنني وهابي "
And from the jahl (ie: ignorance) of these people they label us the term al-Wahhābīyyah as a form of criticism,
ثم من جهل هؤلاء ينبزوننا بلقب الوهابية قدحا
when in reality and lingustically it is a form of praise for us!
وهو في الحقيقة ينقلب فينا لغة وواقعا مدحا
Because the term al-Wahābī is ascribed to Allah.
لأن الوهابي هو المنسوب إلى الله
That is because Allah is al-Wahhāb.
لأن الله الوهاب
If it was said: “So and so is Walī Allah (ie: the righteous servant of Allah)” is this a form of praise or criticism?
لو قيل فلان ولي الله هذا مدح ولا قدح،
It is a form of praise!
هذا مدح،
However, Allah the Mighty and Majestic has sealed their hearts.
لكنّ الله عز وجل طمس على قلوبهم
