The husband is known when his wife falls sick, the wife is known when her husband becomes poor, children are known when their parents grow old, brethrens are known when the inheritance is shared, friends are known when difficulty strikes, relatives are known after travelling away, the extent of the love one has for another is known when everyone's interests are met, and the believer is known when he is faced with trial.

Advice for anyone seeking to memorise the Qurʿan:

قَلِّلِ الْمِقْدَارَ وَأَكْثِرْ مِنَ التَّكْرَارِ

Reduce the amount and increase in repetition

وَحَافِظْ عَلَى الاِسْتِمْرَارِ

Maintain consistency

وَدَنْدِنْ بِهِ دَاخِلَ وَخَارِجَ الدَّارِ

Recite it (to yourself) in and outside the house

وَأَكْثِرْ مِنَ الاِسْتِغْفَارِ

And increase in istighfar

Imām Ahmad, may Allāh have mercy upon him, said:

“That which indicates a person lacks knowledge, is blind following men in his religion!”

Ash-Shawkaani, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

❝Whoever doesn't leave blind-following, there won't be much benefit in his knowledge❞.
