رأيت رجالاً يضربون نساءهم

فشلّت يميني حين أضرب زينبا

وزينبُ شمسٌ والنساء كواكبُ

إذا طلعت لم تُبقِ منهن كوكبا

Şureyh el-Kâdî der ki;

Bazı adamlar eşlerine vuruyorlarmış,

Zeyneb’e kalkacak elim kurusun,

Zeyneb’im güneş diğer kadınlar yıldız,

güneş doğduğunda yıldızları hükümsüz bulursun..
