The New Testament constantly mentions the dead being raised:

The Talmud teaches that resurrection will happen in the Messianic age, when God will judge all people and the righteous will live again.

“Blessed are You, O Lord, Who revives the dead.”
(Siddur, Amidah, Blessing 2)
So before Islam, Jews were already expecting a physical resurrection after death.
🕉 Hinduism: Life Continues Again and Again
Hindus believe in reincarnation , a cycle of birth, death, and rebirth based on karma. Though not the same as Islamic resurrection, the core idea is similar: the soul doesn’t die.

Burnt offerings for ancestors, believing souls live on and can affect the living.
